ST. Joseph’s Chapel ,Valavithoppu ,Maruthady –

This Chapel was blessed on 6th September 2009 by Rt. Rev. Stanley Roman, Bishop of Quilon . Holy Mass is celebrated in the church on Sundays, Thursdays and Fridays. Novena to St .Joseph on Thursdays and invocation to Jesus who endured sufferings for mankind on Fridays are frequented by devotees from far and wide. The church that faces the sea has become a source of blessing and a place for worship for the people in the area.

Assumption Church –A beautiful Church with Our Lady Assumed to heaven as patron is nearing completion at Puthenthuruthuan island on the AshatamudiLake close to the estuary. Holy mass is celebrated on Sundays and days of obligation at the temporary chapel here.



Bell Tower –
The old Bell Tower of the Parish was replaced by a new one by Kanayil Dominic Antony Fernandez and blessed by Bishop Stanley Roman on 3rd December 2006.

Flag mast:
The towering Flag Mast in front of the Church [a single log of wood|is distinct from flag masts in other parishes and indeed a land mark.


Christ the King –A statue of Christ the King was erected at Church campus in 1940 by Sri. Augustine Moraise ,Kannitayil. This was replaced in 2012by his grandson Sri Herman .J. Morris,CherutthoppilVadakkathiland  Sri Roy Andrews  ThoppilVeedu.

Grotto of our Lady of Lourdes –
Built by C.L.C. and blessed on 10th January 1983 . The Grotto welcomes the faithful to the Church and bestows blessings of Mother Mary .

SagaraThara Shrine
This Shrine dedicated to “Mother Mary, the Star of the Sea was  donated by M/S Aluvilayil George P Ferns, Ambrose P Ferns and Vincent P Ferns. This towering shrine on the side of the National Highway overlooking theNeedakaraharhour and bridge has become a landmark. The Shrine was blessed in 1960 by the Papal Nuncio to India.

Resurrection Garden&Shrine of The Pieta{PunaruthanaPoonthottam}
That is our Cemetery—our garden of remembrance, where our forefathers and dear and near ones rest awaiting the final call. A Shrine dedicated to the Pieta grace the Cemetery . The Shrine built in 1980 was rebuilt and blessed on 15th August 2011 by Bishop Stanley Roman. Mrs. Mary George NadayilPadignattathil and Mrs. Jaceentha Antony Nedumthoppil were sponsors.

Ecce Homo Shrine at Valavithoppu  --Shrine dedicated to the salvific passion of Christ Jesus { KaikettiyaEaso} was built by Mr. Francis Rozario and Mrs. VillarmineRozario family and blessed on 24-12-2012 by Bishop Stanley Roman.
